Hi, my name is Lisa Wilcox, and I am a Northwest Native. Mom of three, Owner of Wilcox Angus Beef (my website). I am part of 5th generation farming family (Me: raising the 5th generation of farmers). My husband Chris, is a farmer at Wilcox Farms in Roy, Washington. He watches over our cattle among other things.
I became interested in Grass Fed Beef after reading Mark Sisson’s book, “The Primal Blueprint.” Grass fed beef is hard to find so we decided to raise some of our own. Our herd has grown. It is now available for direct local sales. The pastures they leisurely live on is certified organic. We do not give our Angus Beef any added growth hormones; they are 100% Natural. I enjoy gardening, yoga, swimming, food, and travel. THEY ARE GRASS FINISHED BEEF AND 100% PURE BEEF sold by private treaty.

I wish I had realized how quickly we would go through an 1/8. We have twins who are allergic to milk, soy, eggs, tree nuts and possibly wheat so I end up having to cook everything from scratch and it us so nice to have a nutritious protien to grab from the freezer.
We are using the last of the ground beef today, and using my new crock pot to do one of the roasts. We have really enjoyed having this meat availible in our freezer and the quality is fab.
Do you have any recommendations for a good place to get quality grass fed and organic meats for reasonable cost in the Seattle area? I know of PCc and whole foods but haven’t really shopped for meat there (before the twins we didn’t really buy meat)
